Two types of tracking training are offered at Chilbrook Kennels: AKC tracking, and mantrailing for search and rescue or police work. The basic program to train your dog and get him certified him for AKC tracking is a 12-week course. Owners are responsible for the AKC certification fee needed to enter the trial. The cost includes board, training harness and one month of free follow-up consultation. The owner must provide special diets. Heartworm and other medication is an additional charge.

Mantrailing and police tracking training are available by consultation only. Dogs and handlers are responsible for their own transportation to our training fields or for my transportation costs to their location in addition to the consulting fee.
